Commercial Stone Work
The Hard Rock Commercial Team has been in existence for 5 years. Originally it started with one Hard Rock employee being a one-man team. He sold jobs, estimated jobs, and was also a project manager. This quickly became too much for one person with such a large demand in the commercial world. Now 6 employees are part of the commercial division of Hard Rock. With the 6 team members, we have over 60 years of experience in the stone industry. We have 3 estimators, 2 project managers, and one sales rep. All members are well diversified in the other fields of their day to day tasks. Many of us have come from different departments within the company. From Fabricators, Installers, Purchase Managers, Engineering, and more. This allows us to be fully faceted in all aspects of the commercial building process. We utilize the latest software for takeoff and for submitting our quotes. If you can dream it, we can make it become a reality.
Value Engineered Alternatives
In the construction industry, it is common that projects tend to go over budgets. This is where Value Engineered Alternatives can come into play. Typically, when a stone is specified whether it be a Quartz, Marble, or Granite there are other stones that are similar and can be a fraction of the cost. We always give a base bid proposal for the specified materials. Then we supply you with an alternate bid for the value-engineered options. This gives you a side by side comparison on where you can save on costs.
We also put forth a large amount of effort to get you the closest color match option at the cheapest price. Often this helps VE Alternates get approved by the Owner or the Architect due to them being so similar in color and design.
Thicknesses & Design:
Often material thicknesses and designs play a big roll in the overall price of your quote. Building up an edge profile or having ornate edges can be a big cost driver. For 2cm material with a buildup requires a substrate under the countertop. Making the switch to 3cm material and no buildup often saves you those additional costs.
