A Custom Layout works the best with exotic colors and multi-directional patterns. Chances are if you’ve chosen an exotic stone, you already have some ideas as to where you’d like to see certain aspects of the stone in your home. Your Hard Rock Stone Works Stone Specialist can help you bring these ideas to life. Pricing for the Custom Layout premium service is determined depending on your stone selection as well as your countertop layout.

When chosen, a skilled Hard Rock Stone Works technician will work with a digital image of your exact slab and your exact countertop layout. They’ll also work with your ideas and the stone’s natural strengths to create a beautiful layout to your liking. The first draft will be sent to you as a JPEG, at this stage you will have the opportunity to make any edits you’d like. However, it is important to note that sometimes slab size, condition, or even countertop specifications can preclude us from making certain alterations to the design. Just know we’ll do all we can to deliver what you want.

Before your stone is taken to be cut, we’ll send your Custom Layout via email for your final approval. We ask that you please use a high-quality desktop monitor, laptop, or tablet to view your Custom Layout. A phone screen is capable of viewing the layout, however, it is not optimal for viewing the final layout. We also ask that you send your final approval of the design within 24 hours. A timely reply will ensure that we can deliver your stone on time.

When in production, your stone may perform differently than anticipated. Sometimes our stone artisans must act quickly and without your consent to make modifications that ensure you get the best possible layout. In the event that this unavoidable circumstance occurs, your Custom Layout fee will be returned to you in full. If you choose to not purchase the Custom Layout option, your project will be designed to the best of our staff ‘s ability, with particular focus on grain flow, color match, and overall aesthetic beauty. If Custom Layout is not selected, there will be no compensation or refunds given due to the customers’ dissatisfaction with the layout.
